Pageswalk.net and Pageswalk.co.uk are the personal websites of Gerry Hibbs.
The site provides quick links to sites visited on a regular basis.
Videos and Photo Albums can be found via the Media and Private links.

Private Area

The Private area provides access to a selection of videos, photo albums and Family trees which should only be of interest to family and friends. For these reasons I have password protected access. The user name is "Family" and the password is my mother's maiden name in lower case characters.

Website Compatibility (A Technological rant)

Previously the site used Frames, Flash based buttons and photo albums and videos using a Flash player. This use of Flash meant that systems such Safari, Google Chrome would not display the media content of the site. In addition frames are now considered old technology, therefore the site has been converted to use CSS Style sheets and HTML5.

Dreamweaver CS6 has been used to develop the site. HTML5 and no Flash have presented a number of challenges, not helped by Apple's stubborn approach towards the use of Flash on their systems and Microsoft IE9's inability to display videos unless it uses a specific codec for MP4 files has made the groundwork a lot harder than first anticipated. Google have also pitched in with "Chrome" which demands a different type of video to display.
